30 day .WED Sunrise Period for Trademark Holders
Before domain names in a new generic top level domain (e.g. the .WED gTLD) can be provided to the general public, there is a 30 day mandatory "Sunrise" period when Trademark Holders can buy or block their brand name(s). Atgron, Inc. will offer trademark holders with non-generic trademarks (i.e. words like Atgron which are not commonly found in a dictionary) the ability to permanently block their trademarks in the .WED space. The .WED Sunrise period will occur from March 17 - April 18, 2014, St. Patrick's Day to Good Friday. Trademark Holder websites will be available for use on April 18. The list of Registrars selling .WED domain names will be posted here in the coming weeks. If any disputes occur during the Sunrise period regarding the legitimacy of an applicant to register a domain name, please review the .wed Sunrise Dispute Resolution Policy for steps to follow to register an objection to a registration.

Trademark ownership will be verified via the Trademark Clearinghouse. ALL trademark holders MUST register their trademarks in the Trademark Clearinghouse database to protect their intellectual property during the Sunrise Phase of any new gTLD. NOTE: TRADEMARKS MUST BE VALIDATED BY THE TRADEMARK CLEARINGHOUSE AND CANNOT BE VALIDATED BY ATGRON, INC.
